Spanish 4 & 5 visit Vicente's Cuban Cuisine

 

On February 9th, Mrs. Weber's Spanish 4 & 5 classes tried authentic Cuban dishes at Vicente's in Detroit with menu items based off the family recipes of the owner's mother. Students enjoyed typical Cuban dishes including tostones (plantains), sándwich cubano (Cuban sandwich), tres leches cake (three milks cake), flan (an egg-based custard with caramel), and learned about the effects of communism on Cuban culture.
